Forms

moving meditation

Laojia YiLu or Old Frame was created by the 14th generation master Chen Changxing (who was master of Yang Luchan, founder of Yang Style Tai chi). It contains 74 moves.

The 11 form was created for beginners by Master Liming Yue, indoor student of Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei. It contains all the essential elements of Chen Tai Chi and is excellent for those seeking the health and relaxation benefits of Tai Chi.

The 18 form was created by Grandmaster Chen Zheng Lei and is also a shortened version of the 74 Old Frame Laojia YiLu. It also contains all the essential elements of Chen Tai Chi and includes more vigorous moves than the 11 form.

All the forms are carefully-developed series of movements drawn from martial applications and offer structures upon which one can practise for many years developing deeper and deeper layers of understanding should one so choose.

The benefits of Tai Chi are also experienced by the beginner in the early stages of learning and practising the forms.
